Someone had posted this awhile back, but I could only find the image. This is a throttle control for a carbie. Post up if you did this install; Adam? Scerb maybe? I'll be putting this one in the archives.

I posted that, it's one half of the factory hand throttle setup on diesel trucks. You'd need the pedal assembly and the cable setup to make it work. Nope, never tried it. Always been too poor to do anything but fix the occasional thing that breaks.

IIRC, only the early 22RE's had a stock cruise system as part of the SR5 package; my 87 xcab has one.

If you set your carb up with a fuel pump for steep angles, this might be a help too. I sure could've used one on my 2-4000 mile road trips!!

Can't choke a diesel, so you have to manually raise the RPMs while it warms up on a cold day.
