Getting the Wheeling Fever
I get18.5 to 19mpg best in the summer, and 16.5mpg in the winter.

in 5th gear 2800rpm 65mph to 3000rpm doing 70mph.

22re 35" tires on alum wheels, 4:88 4" lift, Thorley headers, no roof rack, 80 mi interstate roundtrip commute 5 days a week(I get 3 full roundtrips on 1 tank of gas), some hills, with damn 10 mph winds avg.

...and easy on the pedal.

94 pickup with a 22RE auto tranny, 235 tires. newer engine rebuild with 2.25 exhaust. During the summer I get 18-20 around town but during last fill up I think I was down around 13-15 also all around town with almost no highway driving. I think part of this is due to warming the truck up in the morning and letting it sit at idle 5 days a week.

1994 Toyota Pickup 22RE, EB 268 cam , 2.25 LCE exhaust.
1988 Toyota 4Runner, mostly stock but hopefully not for long

84 pickup with 22R. 31's, 4:10 gears, Weber 32/36, EB cam, and 2 1/4 catback exhaust = 13-15 corrected mileage <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" /> Still messin with the carb, but even with the stock carb. I had that mileage.

84 Ext. Cab Pickup.

My 15-16mpg does not include any interstate driving, so maybe it would do a bit better at a more constant speed. All my driving is rural two lane and city stop and go. Have to keep the poor thing mostly floored to maintain speed on these hilly curvy roads.

It just suprises me a bit how low some of these mpg are. I usually get around 20mpg on my cobra, and thats with a v8 and 3:73 rear gears. So, I always expect better then the 15-16 that I get on my truck.

What's your mixture, 2-3 oz. per 10 gallons? Do you run it every tank of gas? Also, are you using the pure 100% stuff or the diluted stuff? Inquiring minds want to know.
