Body Damage is Cool
yah I won't use plastic PVC pipe for that...I use mandrel bend exhaust pipe...you can buy "U"s that you cut and weld to what you need...I built a whole intercooler pipe set-up on my old car and it worked great.

Need a Spot
The numbers that I have right now are: 10L/100km or 23.6 MPG. This is based on using 70L of fuel per fill up(I don't want to run the tank down too much in the winter and get stuck out in the cold.) I believe these numbers are not too bad. He is some background info for this data. I drive 100km return to work and back, 20km city and 30km straight highway. The temp right now is approx -25C average on the praires. It dipped down to -42C last week. I believe I get better mileage in the morning, due to my insulated garage upon start up(around -8C). My truck sits outside in the wind all day and I only have a oil pan heater, I plan on getting a block heater as well. I bought my truck in Dec 07 and the last owner said he put in synthetic oil(weight unknown). Next oil change I plan on putting 0w40 synthetic diesel oil. When i start the truck after work, it stalls about 3-4 times and I feel as if the truck is going to shake apart. For about two minutes my truck is a four wheeled smoke generator!!! It belches and farts out black smoke until it warms up abit, my truck likes the cold as much as I do. Any comments on this data would be welcome.

Yea true, but the big kits all use PVC, so it will work, and its less expensive then mandrel bent, and you don't need to weld it.

always working

That was a interesting read. I am not too worried about an extra 3%(6.6gr)of dust in my engine. The report states that the dust goes into the oil, so change you oil at recommemed intervals or more.

The air dust is the major enemy of your engine. The dust goes into the oil and it is VERY BAD. The oil filter is unable to cach thiese fine hard parts of sand and they circulat into the engine again and again.

Because my jeep that needed a throttle body replaced due to so much frickin oil that escaped from my K&N, my other jeep only runs paper filters.

I don't remember the part#, but if you ask at Lordko - you need paper air filter that crossreferences with K&N E2871 - they will find the right one for you.
