For those of you who don't know, I've been working on a diesel swap into my pickup for a solid 6-8 months now. Engine came out of an '86 Ranger with a Mitsubishi turbo diesel. It went pretty slowly due to work/school schedules, just a few hours each weekend to work on it. I had to pick up the pace a bit when my DD Corolla spun a bearing a couple of weeks ago. Here's the result. Runs and drives great, pretty slow but has a good amount of torque and cruises at 65-70 pretty well.

Hood scoop I had to add to clear high mounted AC compressor and alternator. Got a little dirty today but the 215/75 radials don't have enough grip to even sling mud well. Time for 31's.

Drivers side, need to do a little tidying up on my wiring.

There's a lot more pictures and details from myself and another member over on the diesel forum if anyone is interested.

Thats cool. What kind of fuel mileage?

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

I see you added an extra fuse box on the drivers side, how did you wired it? Is it powered when the switch is on ACC?

Haven't gotten numbers yet, but I'm thinking/ hoping for somewhere between 25 and 30 mpg.

I had a lot of things that needed switched 12v, so i took the switched start/run hot wire from the coil and used it. Attached to it are injector pump, fuel cut-off solenoid, fuel pump, and electric radiator fan.
