I have heard the name of this rock - for you guys it must be very easy, but for a foreigner....

Is'nt it something like Devil's Backbone?

A sort description of it would be nice as well.

Thanks.

Moab. I've never been there. I could even be wrong, but that what I always thought it was called.

I'm someone more knowledgeable or even with firsthand knowledge will chime in over the weekend.

Isn't that closed now?

Here's a famous crash video from that place. It's been on a few TV shows over the years. Everyone lived.

Yes, that's Lion's Back.

Yes, that's in Moab, Utah.

Yes, that's been closed every time for the last several years that I've been there.

Your seeing alot of trails in Moab, that have sections that are being sold to private land owners.

The base of Lions back has been in private hands for years.
I think that it recently sold again. I have heard that the owner wants to build houses there.

Well on my way to becoming that eccentric old man in every town.(crazy as a s#@thouse rat) With a yard full of desireable old vehicles that tells you, Sorry they're not for sale..... Someday I'm going to fix them.

Yeah, the current owner is wanting to put a housing development there last I heard....what a waste...and they say that OHV'ers are destroying land and whatnot....like an enitre housing community is going to have way less of an impact on the environment there.

Reminds me of the situation at Paragon. It's a d@mn shame!!

In that pic...I can't believe those Hummers let the gay 2 and gay 3's run with them.

If it's not houses it could be a resort of some kind...still really stupid! And IIRC, they will be putting an airport in where the Paragon OHV park was. Protect the forset my ! There won't be any forest there when they clear cut to put down runways and hangars.
