Getting the Wheeling Fever

Dad popped a head gasket on my old 22re and drove it home. Now I am going to have to rebuild.I am going to buy a new head and cam and was thinking about a cam upgrade. All of the selections are kind of confusing and everyone has the magic cam that will do it all.My perfect cam has good quiet idle, emmissions legal, same or better gas mileage, some power increase across the board. Can anyone pick me a winner. My truck is a 5 speed xtra cab.I am going to lower gears after rebuild, currently running 31 inch tires.Exhaust is flowmaster from cat back, everything else is mostly stock. Thanks for your help

Engnbldr.com he has everything you need to rebuild, including a new head (loaded or bare), and cams.
As far as cams, personally I am aiming for one of his 268C Torkers, good low to mid range.
You can even get a performance head with oversized valves and some other goodies in there, would likely make a good match for any of his cams.
You might scan ebay (search toyota epn) to find some of his goodies.

Thanks, but I am looking more for testimonial pros and cons.I am aware of EB,did my timing chain with his parts.I just want to find out if any of the popular grinds are noisy, wont pass emmisions, any check engine lights, fuel mileage, etc.

I have EB's 270/430 grind... Not noisy, would probably pass emissions (if we had the requirement and I got a new EGR valve to replace my broken one).
Had to bump the idle up a hair to smooth it out... 700 was a little lopey, but 850 is smooth as silk.
