What gives with the handicap parking spots? THink I'm gonna file a discrimination suit against the disabled groups. 16 spots in our Home Depot parking lot and to beat all 8 right in front of the new BOWLING ALLEY. BOWLING ALLEY?????? WTF. I beleive there is a place and a need for special parking for the truely handicapped but this is getting stupid. Also ever noticed how "handicapped" most of those blue tag hangin disabled folks are? Seem have a rather brisk walk don't they, especially if their fatarses are at a buffet resturant.
ahhhhh glad I got that out.

I imagine it's possible that if that "too fat to eat out" law passes in MS, there will be waivers granted for those who are obese AND handicapped.

How do they determine how many handicap spots a parking lot is supposed to have? Is it supposed to be a percentage of total parking available?
I was at a baseball game a few years ago, and there were Huge empty LOTS full of the blue signs right next to Comiskey Park. I'm talking Hundreds of parking spots with very few cars in them. Crazy waste of space, but I'm sure there's some law that says they have to have that many...

Do you not agree on how nuts it has become?
I still laugh everytime I go to a drive up ATM and see braille on the keypad.
Played golf not so long ago and on the doors of the restrooms on the course were the signs for men and women and under the pics and words was braille.......wonder what his/her best score is or better yet "handicap"? WTF. Not making fun of the disabled by any means but really what gives?

There's a guy at work in his 40s. He was hurt a few years ago, and had a really bad limp and had to use a cane to walk...got a blue card for his truck. Now he walks perfectly, but keeps the card and ALWAYS parks right in front of every building, using the card. He's an asshat.

Take a look at the expiration date on that card. Only a physician can write out the form for the pt to take to DMV. The physician also makes out the form for renewals. That's a hefty little fine here.
Got a valve stem removal tool? I HATE people like that. It's about the only thing that triggers the urge to key a vehicle. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

Problem is they give those blue parking passes out too loosely. A guy at work has one because he has "back problems". I've never ONCE seen him show any sort of back problems (he's a mechanic) yet he parks in the handicap spot everyday.
They asked my wife if she wanted one after she broke her femur bone. She only has a slight limp. She said no. Other people arent so honest.

And another thing.......@ our Best Buy they have a spot right in front with the sign "RESERVED FOR EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH". I park there every chance I get cause I figure if it were not for "CUSTOMER AT THAT TIME" they wouldn't have employess at all. Give em a gift cert. to wally world and a plaque, I'm here to buy some junk and I don't want to have to walk any farther than I have too.
