Getting the Wheeling Fever
I need a new EGR valve to pass smog and don't know what I am looking for. I am rockauto.com and they have a few listed. Is there any difference?

Body Damage is Cool
Are you sure that it doesn't just need cleaned out? 4Crawler has good advice for getting it like new again.

I have not thought about cleaning it. I would rather just replace it, I have had a hard time getting it to pass smog and would be more comfortable just knowing that it is in working condition.

Well, you're going to have to do some cleaning anyway in the intake and head passages, unless you want to end up with the same problem later. It's cake to clean it, and you don't have to shell out the $150 for a new one <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
