Best locker if mud bogging would be a SPOOL. If on an icy hiway..NO LOCKER would be best..
So what needs to be splained here is what are we going to do with this vehicle and when would we need a locker?

I us it for a lot of mud trail riding and a little rock and hill stuff but it still needs to be my daily driver even though i only drive like five miles a day.I plan on a RE 2 inch budget lift with the locker. I just put 31 ,10.5, 15s
Coopper discovery STT's they give sweet grip. And am ready to start the mod process just have a budget.

For 31x10.50s, the Aussie locker would be a good choice. Your offroad driving skill will be the determining factor almost all the time as to whether or not you snap an axle. Just carry an extra set of axleshafts for the D35 when your four wheeling and a few tools and gear oil (and something to catch the old gear oil). Normally its the axleshaft that breaks: just hope the differential doesn't get messed up when it does snap. It's an easy job to replace an axleshaft. The important thing is to get out all of the broken axleshaft pieces.

Just tell the poor guy to trade up to a dana 44 or a chrysler 8.25 & lock those. hell even go junking & find an old bronco & use the 9inch out of it. i used the 9 inch & locked both axles on my xj! couldnt be happier. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
