Starter works fine, new coil, distributor cap and rotor. Revsfor a second and then stops like the power was shut off.

When cold, turn key to start and there is power to coil for very short time and then stops. As the key is turned off there is power to the coil for another instant.

When I have luck and it starts and runs, after warms up, then is no problem to shut off and restart.

Removed the ECU, all conections appear in order and no leakage at the capacitors.

Just before the coil there is another very small module. Is this also a capacitor?

Any Ideas?

No need to post this on a 2nd thread. I'd keep it all in one thread to avoid future confusion especially when you don't link this to the original thread. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
