Getting the Wheeling Fever
Well, I have almost finished putting my 2.6 back together after head gasket repair. I am ordering some 31/11.50 Interco LTBs and 15x8 blackies. I hope this easy formula will equal a decent wheeler. I wheeled the raider one time with 235/75/15 @ a OHV park and I must say the damn thing impressed me. other than the overheating issue of course. I was hoping someone would let me know of any other pre-fixes before I run into them on the trail. My main object of the raider is to slow down the Samurai over population of this area, lol. It seems like everyone has a Samurai. I always have to be different. It was great to find that so many people had monteros for support.

Being different--yep, I think that's a trait we all share. And obstinent--coming up with all these gen swaps and custom fabs to make up for a lack of aftermarket support. This group is a bunch of oddballs....and I wouldn't have it any other way. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

You were overheating. And you are putting $ and blood into a new motor. Do this for sure. Trust me. Take the radiator and have it rodded out. Even if the core won't rod, have them recore it before you buy an aftermarket. There's a 3 row core that will fit. Your tanks are three times as thick as aftermarket tanks, which all have the midget filler cap, too. And rod out the cat...
