front or rear. selectable or not? sounds like you should pay some one to do it for you. about 100 to 150. detroit, or power trax. detroit rear. power trax front..
ausi sounds alot like the power trax.
power trax are used in front end loaders so they have some experience with the heavy use part.

Im a newbie at installing lockers but Im looking for a locker that
#1 easy to install #2 operates the smoothest on the road #3 wont hurt my wallet too bad Save your money and buy an ARB, it will be the smoothest on the road, you wont even know its there, because it will be an open diff until you engage it. Yes the ARB does cost a little more than the others(about 2x as much as some), but it is the best thing you can have in a daily/trail rig. You can also find them used a lot cheaper. I think I seen one in the used parts for sale section on either Pirate4x4.com, or MarlinCrawler.com(forum) for $350, it was still in the 3rd member w/4.10gears. You can also get them set-up w/gears from Marlin, Trailgear, or Davezoffroad, for under $1500. Davez Offroad sells complete 3rds w/gears for about $1150+shipping and exchange.
More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else. '90 X-cab 4.88's 33 BFG AT's, rr ARB, Headers, Ignition upgrade, cold air induction. '91 X-cab 5.29's 315's BFG MT's, rr ARB, custom bumper and flatbed

Im looking for a rear non-selectable. if you were only buying one wouldnt the rear be the one to get? well when you have a front locker w/ your hubs unlocked in 2wd you won't even notice it's there. so on the street it will be just as good as a selectable if you don't put it in 4wd. does streetability matter? what kind of conditions do you plan on driving in? do you have ifs? what size tires do you have? just trying to get some more info on the situation so i can better give you an answer.
