Is there anything interchangeble from a standardcut D30 from a Grand cherokee into a Reverse cut from a 90's XJ. I know the ring and pinion won't fit but what about lockers/Carrier and the outer assembly, knuckles and rotors. I got offered a HP D30 tube that's almost stripped, only has the outers on one side, no axles, diff or anything.
Can I use the locker, axles and steering components from my WJ and just buy the R&P and install kit and make something out of this?

One or two years of Grands have oddball gears, the rest are the same as TJ low pinion gears. The lockers are interchangable from all Dana 30s from the early 70s to current.
The axle shafts are basically the same, some grands with the x over knuckle on the pass side had unit bearing spacers. 1/4 spacer between the knuckle and the back of the unit bearing.

Thanx alot, so if I understand you right I should be able to use the locker and knuckles with brakes and all from my '00 Grand on a Cherokee reverse tube and gain the strenght from the high pinion setup.

Another one here, does the hub bearing unit interchange also in order for me to get the 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern to match the 8.8 in rear.
