The only first gen RS available in the US was the '89. The only year the second gen RS was available here was '93.

HI JAMES , THE RS WAS ALLSO AVAILABLE IN 90 AND THAT WAS THE LAST , UN TILL 93 , 94, AND I HAVE A 95,, DOHC V6 WITH AUTO. , THERE WERE ONLY A HANDFULL IN 95 , ALL THE LATE RS TRUCKS HAD THE DOHC ENG BUT COULD BE HAD WITH A 5SPD OR AUTO. JERRY

Thanks for the clarification Jerry. I was on strafe mode, and should have taken a little longer to double-check myself.

The thing I know most about the RS is that I would love to have a 2nd gen for myself, but can't afford to do it just yet! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />


P.S. There's a guy at work who tells me he's swapped a Chevy small block into a first gen RS, while keeping the stock tranny and drivetrain, but I haven't been able to get him to send me pics to prove it yet.

FWIW I would say the vast majority of US 2nd gen RS Troopers were 93s...I've only heard of one that was 94 or 95.
