I just bought a 1993 ZJ and found this plug under the back seat. Not sure if it is for a stereo system or what.

It looks like the plug to a Martin-Baker Mark IV ejection seat!


1977 CJ-7, fiberglass body, AMC 360 w/ headers, DUI ignition, Edelbrock intake and Holley 4150 carb, TF999, Dana 300, 4.56 gears lockers, York air comp, 4" susp lift, 2" body lift, BFG 35" M-T tires, Megashifter, AGR pump & box, REP8000 winch.

No, I installed that on the PASSENGER front seat where my wife rides.. This is under the back seat. smile

Best way for me to describe it is, it looks like a printer cable. Wondering if it was for a TV/Video system, or some type of Computer Programmer cable for the PCM. It heads under the carpet and towards the front driver seat then I loose track of it until I rip some panels apart. As you notice, it has two large wires going into the connector, and then it is grounded on the seat framework.

Nope! That's the connector for a remote surveillance transmitter used by the CIA to satellite track suspected terrorists, drug dealers, gun runners, etc..
