Getting the Wheeling Fever
alot of my EGR tube is almost blocked with that evil black powder and also some of the vacuum tubes. will it have an effect on how my engine runs? my check engine light came on and Im trying to chase down the problem. my mechanic ran the code and its saying that my egr valve temp switch is not working properly. a new one is 150 bucks and he doesnt know if it will fix it if I buy a new one.

Yes, a clogged EGR will affect things. I used a gun/pistol cleaning kit on mine to clean it out. The small round brushes got into the passages and the gun cleaning solvent dissolved the carbon pretty well.
