Last I recall I am getting about 15mpg. But I need a tuneup and new tires since my tires have flat spots. I also need to replace the carrier bearing..
FWIW After I did the snorkel I avg 1mpg or so better, hehe.. 16mpg isnt unusual but I drive the truck so little I cant know for sure.

Yup, FWC = Four Wheel Camper, a lightweight, pop-up, slide in camper. My FWC has a queen sized bed, 14 gallon water tank and a sink, a 2 burner stove, 16K BTU heater and fridge. I take it all around the western US. It's a great outfit for getting away from it all - Utah - SEXY!!!

I have driven with the light on for about 15 miles and still never taken more than 19 gallons at the pump... wow... as far as mileage, it is all about how fast I am driving... if I keep it under 75 I get 17+ with a cap, downey brush bar and my groovy new bash plate... I got a little carried away with the plate... went with 1/4 inch al plate and it is super strong... nothing is going through it... well... maybe something... but it is going to be big... and fast... I get killed local driving though... low 14s... I am running BFG all terrain TA k/o
Accidentally did a huge lawn job on my buddies yard today... tried to park, backing it in and noticed the truck seemed to be drifting.. hit the gas and noticed a fine spray of mud shoot past both sides of the truck... oops... he does have a nice pair of parallel trenches to plant something in now... he thought it was hysterical... phew...

FWIW, I drove about 50 or so miles with the light on and was really crossing my fingers I wouldnt run out of gas. I get to the pump and take in 22 gallons, that means I had 2 more gallons!

Without fail, my light comes on with 5 gallons still in the 24 gallon tank. Figuring a minimum of 15 mpg, I still have a range of about 75 miles when the light comes on. Don't count on that! Your pump will suck air before the tank is truly empty. I've run out of gas once and ended up putting in about 22.5 gallons. Generally I figure I've safely got about 40 miles to go when the light first comes on. FWIW, I get can usually get about 300 miles to a tank before the light comes on and then I can put about 19-20 gallons in (~15+ mpg). 35" tires, 4.56 gears, 3-4" lift, 5spd. Speedo is spot on according to my GPS.

Keep in mind that our fuel pumps are lubricated/cooled by the fuel surrounding/passing through them. Running them close to empty ultimately takes life out of them.

NOTHING on my truck sucks! I've driven over 40 miles in 4wd with the light on. It's certainly nothing I would recommend, just trying to show that you still have a fair amount of miles you can go after the light comes on. *edit - my non-retracting seatbelts kinda suck....
