but shipping is excessive I just entered my zip code to check shipping cost. $27.52 to oregon??? Obviously they want about $15 more than the listing states. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />

Everybody has shocks for a lifted Sportage they just don't list them as Sportage shocks. All you need to do is find out how long you need them fully extended and go the the parts store or 4x4 store. Thier catalogs show the extended length. It also sounds like Rav4 work and I think they are longer than Sportage shocks. They my not be Ironman shocks but any quality single tube shocks will do (twin tube shocks get dented up as the axle flexes).
Just my 2 cents, Dennis
95 Sportage, gone but not forgotten. 98 Jeep TJ, 4" Zone springs with RC Long arms, Ford 8.8", 4.56 gears & Detroit locker rear, D30, 4.56 & Detroit Trutrack front.

After finding the charts for the Monroe shocks, I found that the Rav4 shock(Monroe part #37199) is 2.75" longer than stock extended. Since I have Dennis' 2.5" spacers in my rear I'm gunna give em a go but I'll be double checking to make sure the coils won't fall out when extended. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Rob,
If you are worried about the springs falling out, why not fab up a rebound/axel limiting strap, I have them on the MG and TR-3 because the springs tend to pop out under heavy cornering. If the shoe fits...?

Hey Mike....thanks for the tip <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />. Gunna see how the fit & measure goes. If I end up needing the straps or something else to limit travel, guess that's what I might have to do <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />. Busy workin' on the bumpers right now <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />
Sorry for the hijack there Bandit <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" />
