Getting the Wheeling Fever
1990 LWB LS Montero does not start. When I turn the key, all the lights that usually come on the doashboard turn on just fine, but when I turn the key a little more to start it, nothing happens. The battery is fine, I checked it with a meter, and the windshield wipers, stereo, everything works.

Now, when the car is off, I hear a clicking noise behind the speaker under the dashboard on the left, and the hazard lights on the outside of the car turn on, even though they are not on, and not blinking on the dashboard. Maybe there is a short somehwere?

Thanks,
-MadGary

I was looking under the near the left speaker, and there is a box with a 9v battery. When I hear the ticking noise, I can feel the box clicking. I dont know if this box has anything to do with the car starting, just thought I would try to make sure I told you guys all the symptoms.

9v battery, eh? I think you need to figure out exactly what that's all about. Mitsubishi didn't put it there.

Maybe it was put in by the people that installed my sound system.

Maybe that's also why your truck won't start.
