Hello everyone, I just recently bought a complete 22re from a 94 truck. Well I was all fine thinking it would work in my truck, but someone told me that theres a lot of differences in these two different years. Does anyone know of any, and do these differences make it pretty much impossible to swap? Also, this engine was from a 2wd truck, and it came with a five speed transmission... does this transmission mate up to my transfer case?

Thanks a lot of any info!
-Nick

Should not be any major differences. Main one is the intake is cleaner on the '94. Other main difference will be in sensors and emissions/EFI stuff. If you move all the '85 components onto the '94 engine, it should be pretty much compatible. 2WD tranny will not have the right tailhousing to bolt up a t-case. Not sure of those can be swapped or not. But the '85 tranny/t-case should bolt right up to the '984 engine.

I think inchworm might sell an adapter that allows the 2wd tranny to bolt up to a t-case.

Isn't the gearing just a little different in the 2wd tranny?
