Depends on what your going to use it for. I would try to find a used name brand before buying HF stuff.

Yeah, I have no experience with their plasma cutters, but with everything else I've bought from them I've been unhappy with due to lack of durability.

Don't buy it, it is a complete waste of money. A buddy of mine went and bought one when he was doing an SAS swap. It burnt out when he was making his first cut. He took it back, got his money back and went and rented one.

I would check the local welding supply shop for a used one, or if the rent them, some even have a payment plan. Unfortunately no one rents them in my area, I could get one but I have to rent it for the week. Also I haven't been able to justify buying one since I only use it every now and again, of course it would be nice to have one, but you can get buy w/skill saw w/metal cutting blade, a cheap metal chop saw, and a grinder w/ some metal cutting blades. It takes longer to cut this way, but it can be done, and w/o the $1200 expense of a plasma cutter.
