Need a Spot
Howdy Mods,

I've (just now) read the posting guidelines, but I'm still not sure how to balance contributing to the Wire and pimping my 4WDTraveller.com site.

So far any links I've posted have only been for stuff wheelers are generally interested in: 4x4 articles, videos, and reviews--none of which cost anyone a cent.

I figured it was a fair trade off for traffic, and I've viewed this as contributing since the topic is relevant, I've posted in chit-chat, and 8 out of 10 other 4x4 forums I post to don't seem to mind.

Anywho...this approach doesn't seem to work on the Wire, so how can I contribute topics that might relate to my site, but not actually be reviled as a troll and pimp for simply trying to share more free 4x4 content?

Thanks,
Dan H.

You can refrain from posting in the general forums. In plain English, limit your posts to the Vendors, Hot Deals, Group Buys) forum.

You can become a contributing author and provide relevant articles and content to 4x4wire.

You can become an advertising supporter of 4x4wire.

We welcome contributions from members that provide value added to the discussions in the forums.

An article or review posted in full provides "value added" to the discussions.

A cryptic sentence or two with a link is not value added.

Value added is a full article that relates to promoting, protecting, or providing for 4x4 recreation opportunities.

If you wish to discuss advertising opportunities with 4x4wire, please contact me.

Thanks for the clarification John--that helps a lot. I don't have any $$$ to advertise with, but some of the other options make a lot of sense--and I'll let you know before I post another word.

Thanks again,
Dan H.
