Need a Spot
Does anyone know if there is any adjustment to automatic choke ? its an 87 carburated 22r, the auto choke works great, on cold mornings , it just seems to racing the engine too fast. I dont have a tach, but i'm guessing it idles normally about 600rpm and before the auto choke kicks out it seems to running 1400 or more. if I could get it somewhere between there, in the 800-900rpm that seems like it would be better on a cold engine !!?? thanks in advance

Body Damage is Cool
As per the factory specs, it can idle it up to over 2000 on really cold mornings. If you really want to adjust it, there's a screw waaaaay down on the bottom of all the linkages tucked away that you can barely see/get to that adjusts the fast idle. Maybe someone can post a pic, cause I don't have one.

All of that sounds normal to me. If you want to kick off the fast idle cam, just punch the gas pedal once and it should step down to the warm idle speed. Click the link in my sig for more info.
