ok i picked up a 94 xj, 4.0/HO, 4x4. had an aftermarket oil pressure gauge on it & that caused the stupid check engine light to stay on. fixed that with a stock sending unit. just replaced the water pump ( it was leaking). flushed the radiator. all the vacuum lines are good. when the engine warms up & you are driving normally the engine begins to act like it wants to die. almost like a fuel issue. it idles just fine. fuel filter is good but i am going to replace it tomorrow.o by the way 210,000 miles or so.

Could be a coil.. They usually fail when warm.

swapped out the coil & it ran like a champ again !! for 2 days then it wouldnt start like the timing was way out popping & whatnot. so we swapped the ecu & its running perfect now even stronger if thats possible.
