I've been playing with my wife's '04 Rodeo (with her permission, if you can believe it). I've found that turning up the bars in the front to keep up with 2" lift coils has lead to some bump steer we really don't need.
I'm wondering how many have put 2" body lifts on 2nd Gen Rodeos? I haven't found anyone that sells a "kit". Is there a reason?
I haven't looked very closly, yet... I'm wondering how it will affect the bumpers, too.
Thanks for the help

I have asked about the 2" body lift..and they don't make it for any of the Rodeo's. Not sure why either. I have put a line on piecing one together to reduce mine a little.
It wouldn't be hard....shifting linkage (assuming auto) would be about the main worry...if there is enough slack in there etc. Otherwise, it's finding bolts and pucks for the 2" lift..then bumper brackets

bigpoppax2's is a 3" www.independent4x.com allows you to build your own kit - 1",2" or 3" count your pucks and buy them, gotta source your own bolts and junk though. Technical comment retained, shameless board-whoring removed. -- Randii

I saw that they had 'pucks', and it's tempting. However, the bumper lift brackets may be the bigest issue. I'll have to give the rig a serious look-over. Mods to this rig are about toughest I've ever done, and I've done some crazy stuff. My wife wants function AND form - a concept very hard for me to understand.

then go suspension lift and be done with it - cost is the same, efort is half and there is no bumpers to deal with
or radiator drop, gas tank filler extension, steering extension, shifter extension, etc...
also, try turning down the front a bit - the facotry stance is a rake- a bit higher in the rear anyway - give it a rake and the driving may improve substantially.
did you upgrade the shocks too?

I haven't dealt with shocks, yet. Of course, I plan to. While I still believe the body lift is the optimal solution, it dosen't appear to be very practical. I guess I'll investigate the rear coils. I need to find some with a spring rate a bit stiffer. Has anyone documented the spring rates for the popular coils? I know a few are progressive, so that will help a mostly street rig. Looks like I'm digging into the archives, again... That's not a bad thing. A lot of fond memoried are stashed in there. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

i have the OME 912s and found it actually made it handle better - if they are too stiff you may consider the lower level OME's (913? i can't remember, indy4x would know) that would give less lift and a softer ride.. you can also install trooper springs for a small lift of 1.5"
changing shocks from the stock ones will really help too. the stock supension on them sucks hardcore.
