i bought some 31in tyres the other day and rang up to get some rims today and they told me that they were a front wheel drive offset. i read in the post about wheels from an f 150 would fit, so does that mean the steelies from an f150 would also fit or do they have different offset. i can get some rims but they have a patrol or landcruiser offset and im worried that the tyres will sit outside the guards or rub on suspension.

Try finding out what Ads is running on his. He may be able to help.

I can't remember if it was on 4WD monthly or Down under 4x4 where he mentioned what rims he was running.

Cheers, Chris

If they are like mine they are the steel 15 x 7 F150/Bronco 4x4 rims with a +7mm offset. Gives a backspace of about 4.5"

JUst to mention CHevy Tracker steel wheels will fit direct..I have them...they are just 3/8" offset outwards more than the original KIA , but they are not "oversize" though.

Body Damage is Cool
Most factory Ford wheels will not fit. The center hole is to small. Before you buy some measure to make sure. I carried a spare tire for 2 years before I found out it would not fit over the hub, I'm just glad I didn't find out the hard way.

31 x 10.5's sit just outside the guards (1/2 in or so), even with (what remains of) the original plastic guard extensions on the longies.

If you can manage it, 31's look extremely good on a Sportage, I must say. I ran them on my old Sportage. Just my 2 cents. They really change the look of the vehicle.

well i got 235's on standard alloys now which makes it look alot better so 31's can only help it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
