Getting the Wheeling Fever
OK, I am putting on the JKS2030 quicker disconnects on my 08 JK - After studying the geometry, it seems to me that theoretically...only one side of the antisway bar really needs disconnected? I am putting both on, but am wondering if I am missing something with my assumption? Even when one wheel drops that is connected to the bar, and the other rises, there will still be no contact between the bar and bracket? Comments welcome.

Body Damage is Cool
Theoretically, only one side of the sway bar has to be disconnected - in most appllications. And, before quick disconnects came on the market, many drivers did just that - one side only. However, since the QD's made things easy, most people disconnect both sides - there's less chance of dinging up one of the ends. Also, when re-connecting them, it is sometimes easier to put one side or the other on first, depending on the unevenness of the surface the vehicle is sitting on.

With that style of disconnect you would disconnect one side and then hook it to the mount that connects to the frame. If you leave the other side hooked up it could cause some damage. They are quicker disconnects so just unhook both sides, it takes 30 seconds if that. If you leave them to hang they can get caught on everything...your jeep, axles, bushes...whatever, and then you have broken quicker disconnects that will do you no good.
