Need a Spot
I was wondering where I would be able to find a heavy duty clucth kit for my 98' Trooper 4x4 5-speed w/3.5L? I need something stronger for towing and for mild-to-moderate offroading??????????????????? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

The general consensus is that for most folks, behind not-so-powerful Isuzu engines and low-ish revs, just about any stock-quality clutch will do the job.... but I did find a post on upgraded V6 clutches:

Hope that helps,

Body Damage is Cool
I seriously doubt that you NEED a better clutch.
The reverse sprung clutch in the later v6's 3.2's and 3.5's. Are pretty darn good. I have 250,000 miles on the clutch in my '96 troop, and I've smoked it up good a bunch of times wheeling with 35's before I put in the tera gears.

1987 trooper LS.'94 3.2, SAS,35's , lots of dents and rust. Now, improved, with more dents.
1995 trooper LS. Wife won't let me improve this one.
1996 trooper. I'll need something to modify when the '87 finally rusts away.
