Why are there so few red (not burgandy) 3rd gen. 4runners around? Very rare here in NC. Does anyone know the sales breakdown by color and year?

I see 1 red runner (3rd) for every 15 silver ones. Red was a popular 2nd gen color and silver seems to be the 3rd gen. I looked at many runners and the one I own is the only red one I found.

As far as the 2001 models go there were no bright red available. I believe the only red offered was the Sunfire Red Pearl which looks good, but not the red my wife and I wanted. I haven't seen a red 3rd gen 4Runner on my local lot in over 2 years and hardly ever pass any on the road.
