Getting the Wheeling Fever
okay so this is a weird one. I have a 1996 t100 extended cab and when I bought the truck it came with alot of slack in the rear end and would jolt if i dumped the clutch or took my foot off the gas then tapped the throttle again. i checked my driveline when not in gear and it had not even an 1/8th of a turn. the other day i got the truck stuck wheeling and did alot of clutch dumping to get out. i was high centered on the crossmember. now my truck dosent have any slack in the rear end and the clutch seems to be working alot smoother in the morning and everything. I know that nothing is bent. any idea's why this happened. possibly the clutch may have been in need of a breaking in. when i bought the truck in october the guy said that he had replaced the clutch recently. your thoughts.

Drivelines don't need to break in to make up slack. I would check it over carefully just to make sure it's not damaged. Pull the oil and look fer parts or bits. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

ya it was at the rear u joint that connects the driveline to the diff. i was driving and the truck started to shake real bad so i pulled over gave everything i thought it could be a once over, pulled off the curb onto the road and it fell, pulled back up on the curb got out and seen that my driveline was not attached anymore. luckily my buddy has a duramax and a car trailor so he picked me up and got it home and found out that it was a ujoint. $26 dollar part at napa and its good to go.
