look for conversions for the early mini Toyota 4x4 trucks (86-95) they should work for you as well.

Sounds like yer back brakes aren't adjusted correctly and maybe not even properly bled out. It could even be yer load proportioning valve might be mis-adjusted as well. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Eating rotors or pads? Brakes otherwise working right?

Hard semi-metalic pads will eat rotors comparatively quickly. Soft metal rotors (aka cheap rotors) go even faster.

If the brakes are unbalanced hydraulically, you can end up working the fronts much harder than the rears. This will not be fixed by going to rear rotors. In fact generally this conversion requires an aftermarket adjuster to get the front to rear balance correct.

All by themselves, installing rear discs will do nothing to improve the fronts rotor consumption.

agree with the above, im using HAWK pads, Brembo rotors, and 35" tires with no unusual break ware.

Is this unique to the 2wd T's? I have over 120k on my 4wd T100 and am still on the original front brakes. Had to do the rear drums at 90k due to axle bearing seals leaking and the shop messing up the brakes.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I have a 1998 4WD T100 that just hit 80,000 miles, and I had my first brake work ever done on it 2 weeks ago. New front pads, rotors resurfaced, and nothing needed on the rear drum brakes.

You need better pads and rotors imho. I use hawk LTS and brembo rotors and no issues yet.
