Need a Spot
Got a whole bunch of questions. Would it be possible just to replace the 'electronics' section on the turn signal/ wiper combination switch? The wiper switch works, the hi/lo beam switch works. Its the turn signals and flasher electronics that is giving me a fit. I was looking at the switch and it looks like it might have a couple of replaceable relays that could be changed out with out having to remove the steering wheel. So, I guess I should ask, is it possible to 'rebuild' this while still on the steering column?
Also, where can a person find a replacement speedometer cable? I have talked with a couple of Isuzu parts dealers, and apparently they are on back order from Japan until some time in May.
Finally, I have a brand new set of Superwinch manual locking hubs, #400533, for a 87 - 91 Trooper. The data plate on my 87 Trooper says the date of manufacture was Jan 1987. Does this have the 17 spline axles, or would it still have the axles used on the 86 Trooper? I want to change out the automatic hubs to manual, and I need to be sure before I tear down the automatic hubs.
1987 Trooper LS, 2.3, 5 speed.
Thanks!

Ok, I changed out the combination switch on my 87 with a known good combination switch, and it is doing the same thing, erratic function. Sometimes the signals will work, sometimes won't work. Same with the flashers. This is leading me to believe that it is either the bulbs or flasher. Where is the flasher located? Help.
