Getting the Wheeling Fever
I think the only major issue isn't with the mounting of the intake tube, it's with the air dam around the thing to try and keep it from pulling heated air from the engine. You would have to fab a new one entirely I imagine, and the body may come into contact with the bottom of the air cone once it's lifted.

what about just using the stock housing and intake tube and taking off the top cover of the filter housing, cutting into the bottom portion and putting on an aftermarket air filter that is something like the one on the K&N intake system.....

Not sure if you already have a K&N but I put one of these on my truck and it worked great! Especially for the price differance... I Can't see any issue with you BL getting in the way.. Lemme know and I can post up a couple of pics to show what it looks like in the bay. I Completely did away with the stock air box and all... Simple to put on too!

If my pasted link doesn't work then just go to ebay and search "T100 Air Intake

i did see that on ebay actually but i had a few problems/questions... first off i noticed it was for a 2.7L not the 3.4 i have and didnt know if the tubing would be made any smaller compared to the intakes for a 3.4 (smaller in diameter)-- also im not a big ebayer and am not really sure of that products reliability/ value...if u have it mabye u can sell me on it.......and i do not already have a k&n intake system- i havent been able to bring myself to spending that much yet.

Hey dude, if you have a 3.4, use the TrueFlow intake or the Airaid Jr intake, with the deckplate mod and elbow mod for best power.
It's dyno proven that the deckplate mod gives more power while the K&N actually robs HP!
