I have an 85 4runner with a 22RE that knocks, I have a line on a donor motor but it is a 22RETurbo and I was wondering if anyone knows if the 22RET block and head can be used with my intake and exhaust manifolds?

any info is greatly appreciated- E.Chris

You can use it but note the compression ratio is much lower and without the turbo operational it lacks power.

Of course if in good shape, the turbo powerplant is worth at least twice what the 22RE is as a core engine, so using it for trading stock might be a nice answer....*EB
