i think if you find an old dodge caravan near you you can probably get it for under 1K, back a while ago i managed to find two for $100, one was not a v6 though. and they had the 3L mitsubishi in them. just do more searches.

1989 Dodge Raider SWB, V6, Auto, over 400000KM(not sure if true).
2004 Subaru Impreza Outback, 2.5Boxer, Manual.
1994 Dodge Caravan, V6(Mitsu), Auto 3spd.
and a lifetime away:
1993 VW Passat VR6, auto.

Assuming the 3.0 is for a montero/mighty max would it even be the same, being that its out of a front wheel drive van. I think everything else is a match like the heads,cams,coil,cap & rotor, spark plugs,plug wires. But i dont think that motor would work but i could be wrong.
