Hey folks. Just joined the forum today, I've been lurking for a while, but finally decided to take the plunge! I sheared an intake valve on my 84 22R the other day. Gouged the head pretty good. I found an 83 Celica with a 22RE. I want to take the head, intake, and wiring harness w/ECU for the swap. I know the specs(deck height, stroke, piston shape, etc.) are the same, but was wondering if anyone has any experience in this arena. I paid $2400 for her 3 years ago this month and she's been my daily driver ever since. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey CJM, I appreciate it...I'll be heading to the junk yard to pull that head and intake plus the harness and ECM...is there anything else that I need to grab for the swap?

Fuel manifold and injectors; send them to www.witchhunter.com or www.rceng.com for refurb, and open up the fuel injector harness and get rid of the butt connectors; solder them in. Send in the CS injector as well.

a little tip. if the exhaust ports are pear shape, its a 85 model and wont work due to deck height.
