How do companies that sell stoker kits for the 22r produce them? Do they take a stock crank and resize the rod journals to gain the 1/4 inch?

The use custom rods (or pistons).
To gain the stroke, I believe they offset weld the crank then grind it back to round, with a slight increase in stroke.
