Need a Spot
I need to replace the right front upper control arm bushings on my 98 trooper. Anyone done this? If so any tips or advice on the job.

Body Damage is Cool
I've done it. Its not aweful. I had to have the bushings pressed off. No amount of banging, torching and prying would do it.
You've got to open the brake system so get ready to bleed them. yey.
Take pictures, notes and draw diagrams of where your spacers are when you take that upper control arm off. If you don't put them back in the same exact way your alignment will be off. The "bar" that the bushings are pressed onto and that the UCA bolts pass through also need to stay in it's proper orientation. front, back, inboard, outboard.

Hopefully you've got less rust than my New England Amigo does. Have fun, good luck. Its not too bad a job.

when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.
