Hey guys, I'm going to put my factor radio, CD unit, and amp (the little unit that Toyota throws in behind the head unit) on the Ebay chopping block. Before I do, thought I'd see if anyone wanted it. I'll make a great deal to anyone on the forum... and I mean a great deal. Shoot me a PM if you are interested. Pic below...

In the regular cab, the sub mounts behind the passenger seat. I think in the extra cab it mounts under one of the bench seats.

The amp mounts behind the bottom panel on the transmission hump under the radio.

Sold to JBird from the forum... thanks man!

So some of the T100's have a subwoofer built in? I have an extended cab with SR5. Should I have a subwoofer? Where?

I see the bracket for the amp, i guess. It goes above the airbag brain?

I took off some trim for the first time today and notice the rear speaker boxes have little bass ports in them. How about that.

My base model doesn't have the amp, power antenna, or tweeters.

I wonder if a small subwoofer could be mounted in a console. I want to mount a cd changer too. hmmmm.

Heck...if yer gonna go through all that...why not just git a head unit that's MP3 capable and convert the music you want to MP3 and burn them to a CD? CD changers went the way of vinyl when players became MP3 capable. This is what I did with my setup...

You could probably fit a small sub but yer gonna find out it's not gonna give you the results yer looking fer as it will bottom out a whole lot quicker. You might be able to augment the low end with some tactile transducers (Aura Sound, Buttkicker, Clark Synthesis, and Crowson Tech) but it might git too cost prohibitive vs just gitting a decent sized subwoofer/enclosure.

The scion radio is a cool update. But I already have a 10 year old Sony deck installed, that I used in my datsun before. When I got the truck I got the unilink 10-stack and it does play back mp3! I would like to at least get the changer in a console.

I modified the deck to pickup shortwave too (changed the tuner module with one they put in the middle east version) and this is entertaining at night. I think I need to add a ground strap between the hood and body, since I get some ignition noise on the AM/SW.

A speaker upgrade would be nice too. The factory front speakers have better bass than the Pioneers I installed but are lame with highs. I'm thinking of trying the 100w rated alpines. The pioneers are pathetic for flubbing with the deck's output which is no more than 20w rms.
