I parked to have dinner one night and afterwards it wouldn't start. Nothing was out of the ordinary. Here's what I know: I have spark. The fuel pump is not working. Using the jumper does not turn the fuel pump on. The AFM checked out OK. The circuit opening relay good. New Fuel Pump installed. Where else do I look? I'm lost, please advise. I would drop the tank and pull the pump to make sure it is working. More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else. Old one wasn't bad and the new one seems to be fine too. I checked power to the circuit opening relay and got less than 1 volt. Will this open the relay? Perhaps this is the problem. Check the fuel pressure by connecting a gauge to the fuel line nearby intake 3. Check plugs power by pulling a plug out and trying to short it to engine block. Power is there If you see the sparks Be very careful do not get yourself shocked 4. Timing belt will be next Hope it helps. Here are what I believe to be two major indicators of problems: 1: There was a ground cable disconnected 2: The EFI fuse plastic casing was partially melted but the fuse was not blown. If a surge of electricity hit the EFI and the fuse didn't blow, what got trashed?? USA 4Crawler Web Wheeler Unlikely you had a "power surge", probably what happened with the melted part was a high resistance connection (due to corrosion or oxidation) and that makes heat (watts = amps * amps * resistance).
