Getting the Wheeling Fever

'90 Trooper 2.8 liter finally took a puke on me and I need to buy a reman engine. Anyone know where to look for really good price. What I am finding is in the $1,200 to $2,000 range so far. Thanks!

If I were you I would think long and hard about swaping that 2.8 for a 3.4 You can search for info on the 3.4 swap. I've heard good things about Jasper, but you may want to see what other people have to say about them. I know they are expensive though ($2500.00 for a 3.4 s vin block) I'm assuming they will take your 2.8 for the core since the are the same block, even if they say they won't they may not even realize they are not the same before the cut you a check.

Thanks, yes, I've looked at the swap info but I'm not sure about doing that. And you're right Jasper is expensive but they are great engines. Wife thinks I'm crazy for spending money on the turdbuggy but I love it and can't bear to see it go to the junk yard.

WHY BUY A REMAN ENG , YOU CAN BUY A BRAND NEW CRATE ENG FROM PACE CHEVROLET FOR AROUND 1700 DOLLARS AND IT HAS A GOOD WARRENTY.AND WITH A LITTLE HELP 180 HP OR SO. 160 WITH NO HELP JERRY
