Need a Spot
I want to get new axles for my wifes TJ. The stock 3.07's don't work all that great with 31" tires, so I want to find 3.55's. I've never seen an TJ in my junk yard. But there are plenty of ZJ's. I'm pretty certain the front end will completely bolt right up. Does anyone know if the rear end would be the same?

i think you will find that the 355's aren't all that wonderful either with 31's. i have 31's & had to change to 410's.

I'm running 4:11's and 31 inch tires on my Ranger... I think I would be happy with 3:73's and 31 inchers. But I'm getting mear 20mpg and am quite happy with the 4:11 gears.

A friend of mine has a Rubicon and gets about 16 around town. Another friend has a XJ with 3.73 running 33's and says he has factory power at the wheels. I'm running 4.10's in my cherokee and get 20mpg on the highway. Maybe I'll go with the 3.73. My wife doesn't want it lifted at all, otherwise I'd get an 8.8 to put in the rear. So I just want to know if the ZJ rear end will bolt up to the TJ.

8.8 in her rear might be a little uncomfortable! BADDABING, HEY! Just a joke, see.
I don't know if the axles will line up, but I am sure it will work. They are even about the same width. With a little modification, any thing is possible
Hey, you mentioned a junk yard that you own? What kinda fords do you have layin' around? I am looking for a Ford Nine Inch for the rear of my TJ, NOT MY REAR.

sorry, I don't actually own the junk yard. It's just the one I always go to.
