Getting the Wheeling Fever
Which would be better, swap to a 3.4L Toyota or a 4.3 Chevy for my 91 PU? Which is easier, which is more power and which is better fuel mileage? Whats everybody think?

First off, NONE of them will be "easy".

Both are good motors.

You are going to get opinions on which is better. Half for the 4.3 and half for the 3.4.

3.4 would be easier. It bolts right up to your trans. you just have to buy or modify your wiring harness, relocate a few things like the battery, intake, and fuel lines, and get a custom exhaust made.

If this was a daily driver, I'd definetly go for the 3.4. I'm biased toward Toyota though.

But, I am currently installing a Chevy 350 V8 in my 4Runner, so that makes me a bit of a hipocrite. I want something powerfull, loud, and obnoxious. I'm not going to drive it everyday though. I already have a 4Runner with a 3.4 to drive everyday

What is your budget and time frame? For either swap expect it to cost you somewhere between $4-5k when it is finished. ORS ORS there in CO has just everything you need for the 3.4 swap, I think they can even supply the engine.

More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else.
