If that doesn't work then...........

Try to see if it is the Blower Motor Vs. the Resister:

1) Run an active (hot) pos. lead to the blower and make sure that it is grounded------When it runs then---The blower motor is fine.

2) Then one should suspect the Resistor box (Don't attempt to repair) Get a new one!

BTW---Sometimes they burn out like mine have!

As Everet says, and I'll say-------Should be a 6 cocktail job!

You see I'm in south TEXAS and if my AC burns out I will do anything to get that sucker running!!!

I guess it depends on the year I replaced a 2001 in about 15 min. the motor on the 2001 is up under the passengers side behind glove box the blower resistor switch is in the same area,

Body Damage is Cool
I've had the same problem with my 98. The only setting that worked was to put the fan in position 4 and it would work.

Try that.

If so the resister has melted the contacts and just needs to be resoldered onto the contact pads. Easy job to fix. No where near 6 cocktails. Unless you are Everet and drink all the time anyway.

Just giving you crap Everet.

Pull the electrical connector off and remove the two screws. The resistor will fall right out. You will need to use a thin flat blade screw driver to slightly bend the retaining pins so you can remove the black plastic housing. Look at both sides of the heat sink and you'll probably notice the ones that have come off the electrical pads. Just heat them up with a soldering iron to reflow the solder and put it all back together.

Use a Philips screw driver to bend the pins back to hold the plastic housing in place.

no you don't get the resister with the blower motor, pull the blower and see if it will spin, make sure you have it disconnected from the wiring harness, you should also pull the resister to see if any of the tabs have melted the connect's, go from there.
