Hey guys, i have no back seats in the panty raider and i got a last minute invite for the long weekend. Anyone ever sleep in the back with an air matress? how cramped are we talking? any suggestions?

The truck should be up and running by the end of the day and i'd like to drive and enjoy it.....it's been such a long time!

I'm 5'11" and the girl is 5'10"

Or am i just going down a road of stupidity?

If your in the fetal position I think you would be fine. 4 doors are for sleeping, 2 doors are for huddling.

i slept in it for every trip but one last year, but i was alone save for that one trip. i'm thinking to layer a bunch of blankets and hope for the best. i've only been in the back of my truck once and i was sitting so i don't have a very good concept of space. fortunatly i've lost a lot of weight in the past few years

Even I wouldn't try it alone and I'm vertically challenged at only 5'6".

A LWB was awesome for sleeping in it.

yeah, i think i should go buy a tent.

When i slept in it alone, it was on the passenger seat with it folded flat. comfy enough for me....i usually fall asleep pretty quick when camping

I've thought many times about sleeping in the back of my SWB, but ultimately the conclusion is always no way (I'm 6' 0"), especially since nowadays I usually have a big, metal storage box lashed down in the back (it's not practical to remove on a daily basis). So, whenever I go camping with my truck, I always either pitch a tent or hang a tarp off the side of the truck for a lean-to (quick and easy). On occasion, I've thought about picking up one of these tents because they look like they set up a lot faster than your average tent. I like my tent, but to me it's a little bit of a PITA to set up daily on an expedition-type trip.

Body Damage is Cool
30oC Tomorrow - Tent it!

Canadian Tire had a decent 1-2 man tent on sale in their flyer that came out yesterday. Also a 4-room tent that sleeps 12!

Awesome find Joe! A little pricy by comparison to other, more difficult contraptions. But, if it really is as easy as the video, it's a steal. Stowing in Favorites.

Yes, if you're less than 6' 2", remove the back seat, the small box between the seats and shift into 4low and you can install a sleeping pad for one person, not too roomy for your legs but helps.
