Need a Spot
How do I change the timing belt on a T-100? How hard is it?

If you are mechanically inclined, I don't think it is hard. There are some great write ups on the internet, think one or two w/ pictures on our very own 4x4wire toyota page. It may be under the tacoma 3.4l engine section.

The only "Special" tool I enjoyed was the snap on pulley tensioner press. Sears supplied everything else. First time for me took about 8 hours of work. The 3.4l is a non-interference engine so if you screw up atleast you will not destroy anything.

This tool is worth every penny, especially if you do a few of these. Like he said pretty basic if you're mechanically inclined, don't get absorbed into taking off too much stuff. Once you've done a few you can bust them out in an hour and a half with water pump replacement. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I bought the tool but didn't use it (I removed the tensioner to clean/check it and recompressed it in a vise.)

Does anyone want mine?
