<hoping his wife don't ever read this>
Guess What!! Guess what?!?!?!?!?!???!!??!!

We just got a (TDI, Diesel) New Beetle as our daily driver. This means that the Rodeo is a lot more mine then it was (please forgive the butchering of the eaglish language : ). Make no mistake, my wife loves the Rodeo, hates that she's not driving it as much, and it's still "her car"... But...

Since it's not the daily driver, we talked about outfitting it for light trail use. Now, I suppose "light trail use" is very subjective, but still.

We agreed that, over a period of time, we'll make the following mods:
- Front Bumper (ARBish) with winch
- Rocker Protection (weld on frame)
- Rear Bumper (metal w/hitch receiver)
- 2" ARB rear coils.

Now, as I rebuild the engine (it has 56k miles on it, so it will be a while), I'm going to dig into a lower gear set for low range.

I'm stoaked!!! I really, really, really like the '04 Rodeo. It feels good to outfit it as it should have come from the factory.

Rejoice with me, my brothers!!! Let the people REJOICE!!!!

Good news, Fred... but you know, if I were Jane, I'd install a car alarm on the new Beetle and make sure I was the only one with keys.

I imagine you are raring to go to tweak that TDI, as well!

HEHEHeheheheheee

What this means is that I might be seen at a ZuZoo actually driving an Isuzu.

However, I'm not driving the Rodeo much. What with the bike (KLR650) and the truck, there's not much need. It's too bad, 'casue the Rodeo's a nice vehicle. Still, I've been twitchin' to get new bumpers and rocker protection on it.

Yup, I've got my eye on a few TDI mods, as you can guess. but all this will have to wait till I get the Motorhome converted to diesel... but that's another story.

Back to the topic, though... This is a great thing for the family. We get a great MPG machine, and I get to build a light trail rig. I can save Stubig for the real exploration.
