Alright guys I am counting on you. I got the 87 with the SunWest new rebuilt fired up today but I ran into a problem. I have a major power steering leak on the left side or engine side of the new power steering pump. I could have swore that I looked the old one over before I turned her in for a core but it appears that there should be a plate with a gasket as the fluid is coming from a recessed hole with 6mm threads inside of it. I bought the thing from NAPA & I believe that there was a black plastic piece stuck in there but it must have blown out. All I know is I need something to cover the area.

Get on the horn first thing in the AM and tell them you need to get your hands on your core to retrieve a part off of it. If you turned it in quite recently, they might still have it in the back.

My dad looked at a working power steering pump today and he stated that mine is the same as the one he looked at. Just wondering if I blew a seal or over filled and it is a relief valve.
