Need a Spot
Happy Fathers day to all <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> . Started the Sporty this morning and the air bag warning light started blinking, got the code reader and all I'm getting is a IAT sensor 1 circuit low imput code. Tried reseting the light but still blinks, took the fuse out but the light stays on and as soon as you put the fuse back in, it starts blinking again. It's a 99. Anybody know what's going on. Thanks.

The airbag ADU has sensed some sort of fault. Unfortunately you cannot diagnose nor pull trouble codes from the airbag system with a generic OBD-II code reader. You must use a Kia Pro Scan Tool. Only dealers have access to this tool. You have no choice but to schedule a visit with a Kia Dealer.

Body Damage is Cool
FYI, they will charge you to pull this code. So, expect to pay out the nose for the tech to tell you someone hit your front bumper hard enough to trigger the sensor but since the car was not on at the time the air bag was not deployed.

He'll probably tell you they need to replace the sensors which will cost you $$$.
