Does anyone know ballpark what's the cost of the solenoid valves that engages the the front hubs on a 96 LS? They sit on the inside right fender. I tried cleaning out both and also replaced all the lines I still have the front hub lites flashing and sometimes when I come to a stop I feel the truck shudder as if it just either engaged or disengaged
EDIT... I cleaned up your title, spelling, and Grammar.. Hopefully someone who has some good info for you will drop by soon. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

What makes you think it is the valves? Did you test them?

do you have tires of the same size? Those things rarely fail.

i had the same issue on my SR once in the last 2 weeks. hasnt happened again. my mazda also has the same issue where it tries to engage the front diff (has the same basic design as the montero) while driving. never did figure out what was causing it so i just leave it locked now and leave the t-case in 2wd.
